The American Red Cross Adult CPR and Standard First Aid class, presented by
GLC Training is designed to provide people with the knowledge and skills
necessary in an emergency to call for help, to help keep someone alive, to
reduce pain and to minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness
until professional medical help arrives.
The content and activities included in each course will prepare participants
to recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions regarding care. Each
course teaches the necessary skills the citizen responder will need to ace as
the first link in the emergency medical services (EMS) system chain.
Each course also includes information on the prevention of injury and
illness with a focus on personal safety. Using healthy lifestyle awareness
questionnaires, participants will assess their environment and personal
habits to help reduce their risk of injury and illness and risk to others
as well.
